Checking the battery

This is one of the most common reasons. It might be that your Airpods are not fully charged. Even if they have low power they will not function properly so make sure you charge them fully.

Clean your AirPods

Another reason can be the dust that might get accumulated on Airpods and the case.  Make a habit of cleaning your Airpods regularly with a soft cloth to avoid scratches. After cleaning try using the Airpods. We believe this will solve the issue.

Check the internal settings

There may be some changes in the settings which might be causing the issue AirPods say Connected but no sound. To resolve this issue follow the given steps one by one:

  • Open settings then go to general
  • Select the accessibility option and Click on Audio or Visual

Forget Your Bluetooth Connection and Re-Pair It

Your Bluetooth might have disconnected or maybe facing connection issues. You should disconnect it, forget it and pair it again.

  • First of all, go to Settings >>  Bluetooth.
  • Touch the (i) icon next visible adjacent to the name you have added for your Bluetooth.
  • Select the option Forget This Device and click on Confirm.
  • Go for the force restart and wait for sometime.
  • Put back your AirPods in the Airpods case and wait for 1 min or so.
  • Open the case, and press the setup button. Keep it pressed untill you notice the setup LED light.
  • Close the case and wait for the pairing prompt.
  • Bring the AirPods close to your device and a Setup icon will appear on the screen.
  • After that Connect and follow the given steps.
