Focus keyword is important but it should be used properly and cautiously. Overdoing and not maintaining the suggested keyword density can make your post look cluttered. Do not overuse the keywords in your posts. Single word keyword is easy to use and you can stuff it multiple times very easily.

But this is not the case for long tail keywords. Like if your focus keyword is “Advanced SEO Tutorial 2017” you can not use it easily. Keyword stuffing becomes very difficult with long tail (2/3/4 +) words keywords and if you over do it, it will affect the overall quality of the blog post. You should go with the natural flow of keywords in this case. You should keep a keyword density of 2-4.5% and that too depends on the choice of your keywords.

Techniques:  How to use your Focus keyword efficiently. 

• Add your Focus keyword in Title
• Add it in the permalinks if you can
